- Leading UK stand up comedian to perform as part of week-long 2010 TT Festival
One of the UK’s most popular stand-up comedians Ross Noble will be performing his stand up routine on the Isle of Man during the 2010 TT Races. Ross, who was recently voted one of the top 10 greatest stand ups of all time by Channel 4 viewers, first performed on the Island in 2009. He will appear in the Villa Marina’s Royal Hall in Douglas on Thursday 3rd June 2010.
The comedian is well known as a bike fan, frequently taking part in track days in the UK and having watched the TT on television and lapped the course during his visit last year, he is keen to see the race live.
Ross, reflecting on his last visit and lap of the course, commented:
“It was an amazing experience playing on the Isle of Man last year and we had a lot of fun with a great audience. It was also fantastic to get a chance to follow in the footsteps of so many legendary riders and do a few laps of the course. I’m really looking forward to mixing with the bike fans and seeing the races live this year.”
Tickets for the Ross Noble concert will go on sale later this month at the Welcome Centre (Sea Terminal) and on the Ticket Hotline on 01624 600555 priced £22.50. Tickets are not available online or at the Villa Marina.
Ross will be appearing as part of an action packed line up during the festival. There will also be performances by leading bands, a film festival, extreme sports, stunt shows and air displays in the busy calendar.
Fans will also have numerous opportunities to meet and greet their heroes at the chat shows and fan zones during the festival. TT2010 will also feature the 50th anniversary celebrations of leading Japanese manufacturer Suzuki’s involvement in the TT Races.
Hon Martyn Quayle, MHK, Minister for Tourism and Leisure, Isle of Man Government commented:
“This is the first in a series of announcements that we’ll be making about the TT 2010 Festival. We can promise that there will be loads for fans to see and do on the Island in 2010 and we look forward to welcoming our visitors for an exciting festival.”
